Two large families of flexible RTV-2 silicone rubbers are distinguished by the chemical reaction of crosslinking (vulcanization): condensation and addition types. The end result is flexible “silicone rubber” for both types, but there are significant differences in terms of their physical-mechanical properties and their resistance to reproductive materials.
